Highly anticipated streaming service from Disney+ that launched last week was targeted by hackers.

These hackers targeted around 4,000 customer account credentials selling them on hacker forums at $3 each according to reports.

Information available included username, password and subscription type as well as expiration date.

Fausto Oliveira, principal security architect here at Acceptto, told  Threatpost “There is some speculation about the source of the leaked user accounts. If I had to guess, I believe that either tailored malware or a spray [phishing] attack were used to hijack the user accounts.”
