Demonstrates Commitment to Security, Availability, Processing Integrity, Confidentiality and Privacy

By Paul Kincaid

At SecureAuth, we’re committed to certifying against the most thorough of standards to continue in our delivery of industry-leading solutions, helping customers meet compliance and regulation through our services. Today we announce the completion of Service Organization Control 2 (SOC2)/Type 1 certification for SecureAuth™ Identity Platform and the SecureAuth™ Intelligent Identity Cloud. The SOC2 certification is a widely recognized certification program for organizations that provide services to customers, and demonstrates SecureAuth’s commitment to protecting customer data entrusted to the organization and securing the services provided.

Security and risk management professionals can be assured that when purchasing a SecureAuth product or service, we take security and customer data entrusted to us seriously and have the security controls in place to protect customer data and trust.

SOC2 for Trust Service Criteria

SOC reports, verify that a service organization that provides services to other entities build trust and confidence in the service performed through a report by an independent Certified Public Accounting (CPA) firm.

The SOC2 certification is identified as “Trust Services Criteria” and examines the controls of a service organization meet their criteria relevant to Security, Availability, Processing Integrity, Confidentiality and Privacy. The audit, verified and documented by an independent CPA firm, reviews the design of the security controls within the organization as it relates to the system description. This includes the organization’s policies, procedures, and security controls in place.

Ensuring Customer Privacy and Security

As enterprises look to digitize their business, they must ensure their investments are with services and organizations working at a high industry-standard with correct security controls, policies, standards in place. Our customers now have the validation from an independent third-party auditor who has reviewed, analyzed and documented their evaluation that SecureAuth implements the necessary security controls to protect customer and employee data and to provide customers with a securely developed product.

Just as SecureAuth reviews the security posture of the third-party vendors that we utilize, a review of a vendor’s SOC2 certifications is a significant part of that security review. We want to provide the same level of security assurance to our customers that ensure security and compliance.
