The Challenge

Bass Pro Shops wanted to improve security and ensure each identity (user) requesting access to corporate resources followed a consistent and user friendly process to protect the business. “Every business is going through a digital transformation journey and the traditional security perimeter is gone. Identity is the new perimeter and a robust access management solution is a key enabler of a Zero Trust model,” explains Lee Hutcheson, CISO at Bass Pro Shops.

“We chose to partner with SecureAuth because they were able to deliver everything we were looking for to launch our access program and can provide additional features and functionality as we scale our identity and access management practice. “We’re extremely pleased with the approach SecureAuth put in place to work with us to ensure our solution provided a best-in-class experience for our users.”

The Solution

Bass Pro Shops pulled together a cross-functional team including leadership, line of- business owners, IT, and Security to develop requirements and ensure buy-in
across the business. The team vetted potential vendors including proof of concepts with both technical and non-technical users to ensure the balance between security and user experience. Ultimately Bass Pro Shops selected SecureAuth based on its flexibility, user-experience, MFA options, self-service capabilities, adaptive authentication risk checks, and its standards-based interoperability providing the ability to leverage existing technology investments.
