Jeff Nolan Joins SecureAuth as Chief Marketing Officer

Irvine, Calif. – May 30, 2017SecureAuth Corp., the leader in adaptive access control, today announced the expansion of its executive leadership team with the addition of Jeff Nolan as Chief Marketing Officer. Nolan, the company’s first CMO, will build on the strong brand recognition that SecureAuth has earned as the market innovator in preventing the misuse of stolen credentials, and will work closely with the sales and channel teams to continue the strong revenue and customer growth the company has been achieving.

Nolan brings deep experience in security marketing to SecureAuth, and his appointment represents his return to the identity and access management (IAM) market. He previously led marketing at Ping Identity during a time in which the company pivoted to a solution-based approach and incorporated cloud technologies in its market-facing activities.

Nolan’s experience spans product marketing, demand generation, sales and brand development. Most recently he led marketing efforts at mobile security technology company NowSecure as its marketing vice president. He also helped launch voice biometrics as the marketing vice president at startup company Knurld. Before entering security, Nolan spent 10 years in venture capital.

“In a time when data breaches have reached an unprecedented high with 1,093 reported data breaches recorded last year, it is critical that companies look beyond legacy approaches to identity security,” Nolan said. “Companies are spending billions of dollars on security, yet 81 percent of hacking-related breaches leveraged either stolen or weak credentials – or both. In other words, four out of five breaches involve attackers walking right through organizations’ front doors with stolen credentials. I have watched SecureAuth for several years, and the opportunity to lead marketing for this company, with modern and flexible solutions that are highly regarded by customers and competitors alike, is a high point in my career.”

In his new role, Nolan will continue to drive SecureAuth’s innovation by expanding the company’s branding and messaging around its award-winning adaptive authentication suite. He will lead marketing efforts as SecureAuth adds Identity-as-a-Service product Cloud Access and passwordless capabilities around SSO, and identity-based threat detection and remediation.

Nolan’s appointment marks the fifth in a series of strategic additions to SecureAuth’s executive leadership team. Since moving to the CEO position in February, Jeff Kukowski has since expanded his leadership team to include CISO Danielle Jackson, Senior Vice President of Identity Strategy Robert Block, and Vice President of Research David Ross.

“Jeff Nolan’s addition to SecureAuth will help us better orient the market to an exceptionally high-value but low-lift problem of shutting the front door to attackers attempting to gain fraudulent access,” Kukowski said. “Despite $73.7 billion being spent on security, it’s shocking that attackers are walking past the security in place with stolen credentials. Nolan is an industry insider with direct experience to bring visibility to the critical issue of identity security, and modern and flexible solutions that improve security posture while providing a good user experience.”
